Planning meeting coverage and newsletters, and discussing email follow-ups and executive support tasks.

Minutes by Odin

Odin is unavailable on the 28th and 5th because he will be abroad. Crystal agreed to cover the minutes for those meetings.
Crystal had the next choice and chose Gender Inclusivity and Ethnic Minorities.

Neither secretary had a preference, so Odin will cover odd weeks and Crystal will cover even weeks.
The possibility of a Welcome Week newsletter was raised. Tom F and Tom S suggested asking DCS (Lea) to forward it to incoming DCS students, as the events are aimed at Freshers rather than existing members. Odin and Crystal would collaborate if this were possible.

Discussed organising a “The Social Network”-esque drinking LeetCode competition. Crystal showed interest, and Ali was suggested as a potential organiser because the idea appeared in their academic manifesto/presentation.
Crystal asked whether the current presidents wanted the secretaries to monitor emails and follow up with non-responders, as previous presidents and Ray had suggested. Crystal and Odin had not been doing this.
Tom F said this was a possibility; however, “high-stakes” emails (sponsorships and collaborations) are handled through personal email because of the UWCS inbox’s historical unreliability.
Crystal and Odin offered to take on random tasks or odd jobs that need to be done by the presidents.
